I am looking for a new laptop for my sister.

Dell XPS 13 and 15 seem like a great choice. We prefer the XPS 15, however I realised that it has a 960M GPU and
she won't do anything graphically intensive (games etc.).
Is there any particular reason why it has a dedicated GPU? I am worried about the weight and battery life.

Also it has a 4K screen, could it be a hassle or is Windows 10 optimized for it?

Thanks

The i3 version of the XPS 15 doesn't have a dedicated GPU. It is a heavier laptop, but it packs quite a punch (at least the i5/i7 versions). You can get a FHD version but it isn't touch, but gets much better battery life.
