It's nice that retro gaming is a thing, that it is helping to preserve and bring back older games, even getting reboots or remakes. However, I have mixed feelings when it comes to hardware, since most of the time it's not actual old hardware modernized to fit in a sleek new case, but simply current random hardware that can run an emulator of the system to play the games/run the software, and sometimes not as good as the original (Neo Geo X for example). The emulation is something that can be done on a modern cellphone, or even AIO boards like a RaspberryPi with a free emulator, and doesn't limit you to just one system.
