MILK on the Wall

Hey guys

Time for another build :D

After discovering the Core P5, I immidietly fell in love with the case and decided that this would be the base for my main gaming rig.

The color scheme will be BLACK, WHITE, and RED.

I am of course, using liquid cooling in the build :)

Now I've cheated a bit, and have been working on this along side my other, recently finished, project.

Now on with it :salute:

The hardware:

  • MOBO:ASUS MAXIMUX V GENE
  • RAM:Corsair Vengeance 16 GB DDR3
  • GFX:EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti SC+ ACX 2.0+

What did you use for the LED backlighting?

I used LED strips running around the backside of the case. It's got multi color feature, with a remote, making the color change and on/off settings pretty darn easy to handle :clap:

I figured it was an LED strip :D. Do you have a link to what you used?


 
Awesome build, man! I have a small suggestion though: You should add a small UV strip somewhere to emphasize the coolant in the dark. I feel like the "milk" is lost on the wall.
 
Fantastic build. Apologies for bumping an old thread, but do you have a link to the EK mounting plate that you have used on the bottom of your pump to connect to the P5 mounting plate? My EK-XRES 140 Pump/Res combo already has the antivibration mountings etc, but I can't find that mounting plate on the EK website. I don't want to drill the Core P5 plate and like the way you have mounted yours. Thanks

Yup, that's exactly the one :) Glad you found it.
 
I hate to be the one to do this........ but,.............. I can only give you 99 out of 100.
your loop order is not right in my book.
your pump should push through the waterblocks first and return to reservoir should be from the radiator.

Thanks for the advice, but what difference would it make?

I've always done it this way, and when googling it, same result comes up... RES/PUMP -> RAD -> W/C BLOKCS -> RES/PUMP
