Which is worth getting?....

So I am building a side system for HTPC and Light to Mid Gaming. Which is a better route overall to grab as far as deals go.

EVGA Z77 Stinger mITX with 3570k @ $240 or ASUS Sabertooth 990FX with FX8350 @ $230 ?

The Core i5 with integrated graphics will work great as an HTPC. I'm not sure about the light gaming. The FX cpu will have to have a discrete GPU at an additional cost.

I'm not sure that the extra 4 cores in the FX will help for anything that you might do on this machine.

I would go with the intel of the two.

Whatever is cheaper. Its an HTPC rig... Truth be told, all of that is overkill IMO.

I have some ITX Z68 board and a 2c/4t CPU. Done for well under $200.

Agreed a micro ITX baord with a socket AM1 CPU will work just fine for a HTPC and save money.
