GTA V: anyway to re-map mouse button functionality?

I'd like to re-map my mouse buttons so one of them is walk/run forward, but it seems like it's impossible, perhaps because the game is a consolectomy. It's amazing how a company can spend > 200 million dollars on a freakin' video game but can't include the option to fully customize the controls for their game.
