Hi,

I own the ATH M50X Studio Headphones however as many of you may know, they're exceptional headphones with only a single drawback, that being the lack of a microphone.

I don't want to replace these headphones for an alternative headset that does include a microphone, nor do I want a microphone that isn't attachable to the headset itself... purely for inconvenience. Although, I appreciate microphone quality may be improved, quality isn't my main concern... to an obvious extent.

Basically, I'm here to ask you wizards for something that I can buy to attach onto my headphones, something like this: http://www.modmic.com/

I don't want to bother with modmic because the price seems fairly steep and it's based in the US, I need a UK shopping link.

Please drop a few links below to some decent and cheap'ish mics. I don't want absolutely sh** quality, nor do I want it to be disgustingly clear.... Just as average as you can get.

Thanks!

I don't know if the M50X has removable plug into the headphones, but if it does you can see if the v-moda boom mic attachment could work for you.

FWIW modmics are available in the UK:

Other than that you can look into basic clip-on mics, I've heard there's a sony clip-on that is supposed to sound pretty decent.

These are the headphones I have, the cord is removable if that's what you mean?

Thanks, I'll check both out now.

I updated my post above, modmics are available looking at amazon.co.uk

So the v-moda boom mic attachment arrived today and unfortunately it didn't fit in the Audio Technica Heaphones... the cable was too small.
DAMN!
