Fallout 4: anyway to reduce the number of hit points of the player-character

As with Fallout 3, was you're leveled up w/massive hit points, good armor and powerful weapons the game becomes a push over outside of death claws. Is there anyway to reduce the player-character hit points back down to normal levels?

I'm playing on survival mode too.
