New graphic card for mostly folding

I am folding and running Euro Truck Simulator 2 (same as American truck Simulator)
and feeling that it’s time to upgrade my GPU (GTX 960)
But to what?
I am folding at winter 1/2 year
what is giving most PPD/watt of this 4 alternative?
1 - 2x GTX970 2700:-sek(to 3700:-sek)) *2 =5400:-sek
2 - GTX 980 3500:- sek to 5500:-sek
3 - GTX 980 TI 4500:- sek to 6200:-sek
4 - GTX 1070 4900:- sek to 6400:-sek

Price just now from 1 Swedish seller (1$=8.53 sek)
Is it any specific card better then other GTX xxxx?
what should I think about then I select a GPU for folding (more then I will have quite one)?
What should I get?
I alternative is to wait to September and hope that GTX 1070 price is going down

Of those cards, the best PPD / Watt ratio is going to be the GTX 1070. The GTX 980 TI will be about the same PPD, but use more power. The 1070 / 980 TI give about 500K to 550K PPD. The GTX 970 will give you about 300K PPD.
 
I thought that the 1070 was closer to the GTX 980 (non Ti). Even so, the 1070 is probably the better choice of the bunch. Less electric and less heat.

If you aren't already, please consider folding for team 32. We are growing and putting the fear in teams above us in the rankings. ;)

And it looks like the 1070 does better than I'd thought. Seems to be doing about 700K ppd, rather than the 550K ppd for a 980 Ti.

edit: WAIT WHAT?! One card would put my entire farm to rest for ~$440. That's insane. There will be a lot of hurting for some one this winter when I build up again. A lot of hurting for some one.

EDIT: That's two cards. His 1070 and his 950. I'll have to look for caddi's post but I think that the 1070 is closer to the 980 but I was wrong once before in my lifetime. It was a long time agao but I could be wrong again.

Torin, What's your 1080 averaging out to? If the 1070's are really getting ~700k ppd, that would be insane. With the other teams picking them up as well, this will be an insane winter to come. <Some Game of Thrones reference here>
 
From what I've seen a 1070 gets 500-700k PPD, a 1080 starts at 550k and has posted upto 850k. No doubt the 1070 is king, although the price cuts on 970/980/980ti bring a lot of folding power for little £££
 
I'd say my 1080 averages around 750-800K. However it really does depend on the WU. With the right mix I can get 1M PPD, and the wrong mix will give me about 650K PPD.

For example, right now I'm folding WU 11424 (0,39,40) and getting about 682K PPD. About 2 hours ago, I was folding one that was 850K ppd.

Edit: If you knock off 150K ppd for the 950, that still leaves about 550K for the 1070, which is 980 Ti numbers.

Founders edition cards are the new reference cards, made by NVidia and sold by all the major card vendors. Asus, EVGA, etc have only just released their own cards with better coolers and different clocks, these may be cheaper, but maybe not - the big thing is they should have higher clocks and they will keep the cards a lot cooler due to better heatsinks and fans, which translates into lower noise and longer life
 
1070 is getting an average of 600k PPD, the 950 is running on a x1 PCIE so it is only getting 65k ppd. Depending on the work units assigned I can hit over 800k or as low as 550k. For the last week I have been on vacation and left my rig running in a minimally cooled house. AC is back on and I put a mild OC on both cards.
