Fix your website, Overclockers.com, managing attachments is a nightmare and simple things that are easy on other forums like changing the title of a thread are impossible. Admins, f you want, delete this thread, I can't waste time here any more.

For 4.8GHZ I'm at Adaptive Additional Voltage 1.303v, 4.5GHZ cache at .395 Offset, Corsair LPX 8x16GB DDR4 At 2666MHZ at 1.36v with VDroop. Memory timings at 12-12-12-26 1T. RealBench, GSAT and AIDA cache stress test stable. I pretty much won the silicon lottery.

This is with my new TUX Sabertooth X99 motherboard, handsome piece of hardware, huh?

Realbench is pretty weak, try XTU or Prime95.

Prime95 is NOT a good idea for X99 CPUs. Uses an AVX instruction set, can damage or degrade the CPU. I'm not sure about XTU, I'd have to Google it if uses an AVX instruction set. But RealBench is the go to stress test in another forum I frequent for X99 CPUs and motherboards.
I find if AIDA64 cache stability test, HCI MemTest and RealBench passes my PC is totally stable. Plus you can run Folding@Home overnight and it'll test if your CPU and GPU overclocks are stable if it doesn't get an error or crash the PC.

The only reason it would damage or degrade the CPU is if you can't control the temperature.

Realbench is solid.. its more 'application' based since it runs 3 of them, but its pretty solid. I use it and AIDA64 these days.

If you Google about Prime95 and socket 2011-3 CPUs you'll see tons of info about not using it. It is really not good for these CPUs. I think it's because it draws too much voltage through it, it's more then just temps. Don't make me post links confirming this!!

We know of the issue.

Some boards will raise voltage a bit when using AVX instruction sets. You just need to make sure you have the headroom for such things. For most people, even overclockers, you are going to run into a thermal limit before a voltage limit. So while you are correct, for most it is much ado about nothing, for some, you just need to pay attention to the voltage you are putting through your high overclocks. But stock... it wont hurt a thing.

There are earlier versions of Prime95 that don't use the AVX instruction set.

I would also run the latest version of Hanbrake and do some video encoding...this puts a good amount of stress on my 5820K.

You can also stress these processors with the SETI@Home or Folding@Home applications.

I am cautious...and go for 24/7 stability...but Earthdog already knows this about me!

Dont stress with seti or fah unless you have done some stress testing prior.
