What is the function of the holes in ek reservoir?

Hi guysI want to buy the ek res x3 250.I have seen that it has tworked holes at the bottom and two in a side.What is the function if th holes in the side?

To connect fittings so you can run tubing?

Not sure why this is a question, they're G1/4 threaded entries to the reservoir.

They are just different options for fitting placement depending on how the res is mounted and fits into your loop.
