I have an option to get some cheap ram, G.skills rams to be exact. I already have Adata DDR3 1600mhz RAM installed on my MOBO, 8gb in total. Just wanted to know that if i add G.Skill Ripjaw 8gb ram mixed in with my adata ram would i run into some issues?

I do read in some other forms users having issues, but i am assuming that since they are same 1600mhz that i should be fine? From what i can gather that the Ripjaw timing is 9 9 9 24, can't seem to find the timing for my adata ram, but should i be okay having both these brands on my gigabyte 970 MOBO?

Use CPU-z for your ram timings.

I had good luck on AMD platforms with mixing ram, but there is no guarantee that it will work. Usually, setting the faster ram speed/timimngs to the slowest does the job, but not always...
