SOLVED SM Bus Controller Driver Borked?

Had a little hiccup on my DFI DFI DK P45 T2RS Plus board in my sig with a “Driver not loading” popup box on a reboot.

I checked Device Manager and SM Bus Controller apparently is borked as there is a yellow exclamation by it. This is a new one for me and I’m not sure of the procedure or even what file needs to be downloaded and reinstalled from the Intel site. I’m not even sure of what Intel chipset I have from the Intel site or if this is even the proper place to look:

Everything seems to be working OK so far.

SM BUs controller is used to monitor voltages and temps on the board IIRC.

Have you tried installing the chipset driver from the board's website (Its DFI, does it even have one?).

Your chipset is P45.

There was one SM Bus controller that was installed by ASUS (possiibly also Gigabyte) that caused BSODs for some, me included. I spent years with that yellow mark and no ill-effects.

Thank you. I looked all over for DFI and all were dead ends or they were of suspect sites.

You can always message me for DFI and other defunct companies. If I don't have it here I can usually come up with it.
