I'm getting ready to buy the water cooling components
and I'm curious if anyone knows of the water blocks for the asus gtx 1080 strix
are compatible with the strix OC?

Yes it's compatible with it.

As well as the 1070 Strix, 1070 Strix OC, 1060 Strix and 1060 Strix OC.
