Foobar is now on android fyi. It handles embedded covers perfectly unlike VLC. VLC is irritating because if it can't find audio files your saved network streams disappear. Foobar also has UPnP (connect to a server) but I haven't tried it yet.

Ive got music over UPnP but it doesnt see my movies. Im looking into it as Im fairly sure the problem is user error. Will post back when I get it solved. Mp4 are encoded in h.264 and running over minidlna server from my NAS box.

Thanks for this though. Ive been looking for something that just works in the free UPnP department. There is something not to like about damn near everything out there, but if I can get movies working here then this might be it :)

I've also got vlc direct, vlc mobile remote, clementine remote, and foobar2000 controller installed. I think I can remotely control foobar as well as vlc on my pc. I haven't tried it yet as my pc needs a little work. That would be way better than plex I think. Clementine is an option too but I'm partial to foo, depends on the remote control ability.
