Laptop Recommendation

Usage:
- Watch scouting videos
- Write scouting reports (Word)
- General Internet browsing
- Adobe Photoshop

All fairly basic. Max budget is $1,000 but after reading many other recommendation threads here re gaming and higher end laptops it seems like I should be able to get out the door closer to six or seven hundred. Size wasn't specified so I would imagine a 15" is more than enough, but again, the only things relayed to me as important are those things listed above.

So, that is what I am basing my pricing on, since they currently list below $600 and $800 respectively, and both seem more than capable to handle the above requirements.

I personally don't like the build quality of Acer laptops, and this Dell would spank the pants off the ASUS you linked for only $50 more.
You'll really want to go i7 with a dedicated GPU for Photoshop, and that Dell has one of the true quad core i7's as well as a load more storage (important for photos and videos).
