Usage:
- Watch scouting videos
- Write scouting reports (Word)
- General Internet browsing
- Adobe Photoshop

All fairly basic. Max budget is $1,000 but after reading many other recommendation threads here re gaming and higher end laptops it seems like I should be able to get out the door closer to six or seven hundred. Size wasn't specified so I would imagine a 15" is more than enough, but again, the only things relayed to me as important are those things listed above.

Some other posts recommend things like the following:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...7702X1552850X5d050ad0a91ad08fee8ec7ae4e3fc560

https://www.amazon.com/K501UX-15-inch-Gaming-Processor-Windows/dp/B0146DD02G

So, that is what I am basing my pricing on, since they currently list below $600 and $800 respectively, and both seem more than capable to handle the above requirements.

Thank you ~

$849: http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/i...157w10ph5716&model_id=inspiron-15-7559-laptop
i7-6700HQ, GT960M GPU, 1TB HDD w/ 8GB Cache, 8GB RAM (can be upgraded to 16GB), 15.6" 1080p screen

I personally don't like the build quality of Acer laptops, and this Dell would spank the pants off the ASUS you linked for only $50 more.
You'll really want to go i7 with a dedicated GPU for Photoshop, and that Dell has one of the true quad core i7's as well as a load more storage (important for photos and videos).
