Hi guys!
I am pretty new to overclocking Xeons, thus I want to start some discussion about it. Previously I got C2D E8500 which was overclocked by me very smoothly.
But still I am considering several thing from BIOS. What I did previously for Xeon E5450- I just changed fsb frequency from 300 to 400, pci-e from Auto to 101 and set RAM frequency to 800, as a result I have 400*9 per core. That was all - no changes in voltage etc, all other setting left on Auto. And now Aida, CoreTemp and RealTemp show different temperatures.
So my question is - how can I troubleshoot if I need to change voltage etc for overclocking? At this point everything works and I dont have any problems in gaming.
