Utralbook ASUS Zenbook UX303UB or-- Alternate Suggestions?

I'm considering the Asus Zenbook UX303UB which at the moment runs about 1,000$, 13.3" screen.

It doesn't have a NIC card, access via WiFi only. I'm not looking to game on it- just surf the net, MS Office, maybe some photo editing (30% likely).

I like form factor/WEIGHT, the CPU and backlit keyboard (a MUST HAVE feature).

Is there anything out there from a reliable company that is BETTER at this price point or even less. I'd like to stay in this weight class, but MIGHT consider a bit larger screen (13-15") if the computer was superior for less money.

There are very reliable USB to ethernet adapters. I have used some by Sabrent. Great product.
