Does anyone know when or the date nVidia started to enable SLI with multi monitor support?

Example

x2 GTX 1080's iN SLI on a 4k screen
while still using monitor a and c (Dell's 24inch 1920x1080's)

The page references the GTX 2** series

If you mean 3+ monitors I believe that enabled in the GTX 6** series GPUs.

IIRC, my former x2 GTX 480s in SLI allowed me for surround @ 5760x1080 but there was no way of 1 GPU doing all of that. The newer single GPU's eventually become capable of that and for higher pixel counts, you'd need more horsepower and VRAM depending on the games.

Yeah my GTX 1080's ON SLI can do 4k gaming while still having "extended monitors in use"
