EVGA SR-2.... Outdated?

Hi everyone,

A few years back I built an SR-2 rig, primarIily for CAD. From the specs I can remember off the top of my head:
Mobo: EVGA SR-2
CPU: (2x) Xeon E5620's
GPU: (2x) Firepro V7900's
RAM: 48GB corsair.. (I think DDR3 1333Mhz?)
PSU: XFX 1250w
...and EK liquid cooling

So to get to the point. I'm trying to use this machine now to mash through big data sets and plot graphs for analysis with programs like Excel and Tableau. (Data from 1 day is 6000 rows x 12000 columns)

The question... at this point, is the SR-2 simply outdated?

Out of the corner of my eye, im looking at the EVGA Z170 Classified K Mobo (1151 socket) and Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake

OR

EVGA X99 Classified with the 10-core 2011-v3 socket i7

The first thing that jumps out to me is higher frequency memory.....(?)

Would I notice the difference for number crunching and displaying graphs (big data)?

Im not someone who understands this kind of stuff, But, changing to the 6700k wont make a lot of difference, Maybe even make it worse. On the other side, The new 10 core xeon IMO will do a better job than these dual xeons you have.
