I recently replaced my HDD with Western Digital's BLUE 1tb WD10EZEX (old one being a Hitachi). I migrated the old drive to the new one just fine, but the new drive is only detecting 465GB -- the exact size of my old drive. Doing " wmic logicaldisk " in CMD responds with a bunch of FAILURE and other gibberish (and detects my CD drive just fine). I also triple checked the label on the new HDD, so I'm not mistaken with my purchase.
When migrating, I created a system image of my old HDD onto an external drive. Using a Windows 7 System Repair Disk, I restored the system image on the new HDD.
The computer is detecting the HDD properly, so I'm not sure how to fix this after some basic googling. I suspect it's an issue with drivers, but I'm not certain as I've never messed with storage drivers before.
