Is there any reason to get choosey about DP or HDMI when converting to DVI-I ? I am looking at new GPUs and most come with only 1 DVI output. After that I will have to get an adapter, and I wonder if there is any reason to go one way or the other (DP or HDMI). My guess is that either will be "downclocked" to DVI max output range? TIA :)

The DVI video signal is the same as that of the HDMI. Only difference is that HDMI also carries audio.
