bought an RX 470 and realized my mobo doesnt have a UEFI BIOS how screwed am i

ok i need some questions answered as im a bit confused. ok so i recently bought a sapphire RX 470 heres the link to the model i bought

ok so here are my questions

#1 does this card support legacy bios because my HP Z400 desktop still uses the old bios the one that only supports keyboard
#2 does this card come with a dvi adapter i only see hdmi and display ports?

did i just buy a dud or will my pc be able to boot this card below is a link to the pc i have

The motherboard has a X58 Express chipset and PCI-E slot, it should work just fine. You will need a DVI adapter.

but the specs for the sapphire card only state uefi they say nothing about legacy support and my mobo was released back in 2009

As far as I know, it should make no difference whether or not you are using a UEFI interface or a traditional bios in whether or not the card works. Does the card require power supplementation directly from the PSU and if so did you connect the six pin lead from the PSU? What PCI-e standard does the motherboard support? 1, 2, or 3? The card may not be backwards compatible with PCI-e 1.0 and 2.0. Just shooting things off the top of my head here.

the card hasnt arrived in the mail yet im just doing research ahead of time

PCI E 3.0 is backwards compatible.

PCI Express 3.0 Base specification revision 3.0 was made available in November 2010, after multiple delays. A PCIe 3.0 should be backwards compatible with your board's PCIe. Other than the DVI adapter you should be good to go with the new card. Nice card, BTW

It will be good to let us know. Do you have a six pin power adapter from the PSU for the Video card and DVI adapter? I could not see the link for your video card.

yes i have 6pin as well as a 6 to 8pin adapter just incase also heres a link to my new card

You should be fine with 1 x 6-pin AUX Power Connector after looking at the specification.

before i upgraded to the 960 i had a low profile msi 750 ti in here so im hoping the RX 470 will work it should if it support dual bios

IF you had a GTX 960 in the RIG, it will support the RX 470.

What GTX 960 card did you have? My EVGA SSC GTX 970 had dual Bios for failed Bios overclocking and bad Bios flash.

Pcie3.0 spec is NOT the concern here guys.

I suggest, kaitlin, you update your bios to the latest version. If it doesn't work after that, then you are likely screwed.
