GTX 1060 6GB OC results thread

Hello, I could not find any similar threads, so I thought that I would make one.
I am Curious of what clocks, temps, power drown etc, you achieved on your 1060 cards.

I am using a GTX 1060 ASUS STRIX,

using Afterburner, I have clocked my card to a stable 2139MHZ on the Core and 4354MHz on the memory. that with a GPU top temp hit of 61 C, on a max peak hit of 47% fan speed. this was after about an hour of testing on Heaven and valley benchmark. I always monitor my system and 62 Celsius is the Absolut the highest temp I have seen on the card. Using the stock strix cooling system. custom fan curve places it around 40-45% under load, and that is a good place, everything above 50% starts to generate noise.

fun fact, the card is an OC edition, so I just punched in a core +150 on AB expecting it to crash when I got the card last fall, it has actually never crashed on me all this time.

what do you think of the OC? how are you clocking your 1060?

Hi , i'm a proud owner of a new Gigabyte Windforce GTX 1060 6 GB variant that i purchased a few weeks ago after my 7950 served me well for over 4 years straight and decided to put it to rest. I'm using with the following platform mentioned below in my signature. My card didn't get past 74 c.

I used Gigabyte's native Xtreme Gaming Engine with the following results and seems that i gained 10+ fps on average using Tom Clancy's The Division integrated benchmark. I did not expect that much, mine has Hynix memory, i wish that i'd get one with Samsung, but it ended well i suppose. I also want to get it past its previous OC profile , but i think it doesn't make any sense , cause i won't get any significant gains at all , so i'll stick with these settings.

I have the evga gtx 1060 ftw+ 6gb card. My setting are

core voltage--+0
power limit-- +120
core clock--- +110
mem clock--- +300
fan speed---- 80%
Temp running heaven is about 53c---30+ minutes.

The core is stable at 2139 and mem at 4303. When I 1st got this card I also used my 960 for physx and my 1060 would not oc no matter what I tried. So I removed the 960 and no more problems.


Edit: Decided to play around with the oc some more, here is what I've tried.

Tried a few different core clocks, decided to stay with +110 (2139 mhz) +120 Didn't really help, +130 heaven scores dropped, +140 driver crash.

Now for the mem, +300 was ok (which is what I started with) +400 better, +500 better, +600 (4608 mhz) so far so good. But for the night this is where I am stopping. So only changing the mem clock running 3d mark skydiver, I went from a score of 23988 to 27335 and the temps are staying around 55c. That's with the fan at 100% and no crashes.
