ipad just for facetime.......for my mom

I don't know apple. I don't want to know apple. My mom wants an Ipad so she can easily facetime with kids and grandchildren. So basically a large screen for old grandma eyes and a somewhat up to date camera option. What version of ipad should I buy. Don't need space.

Something cheap on Craigslist or similar, wouldn't go back more than 2-3 iterations though.

The 1st gen does not work with Facetime, so make sure you get at least an Ipad 2 or newer.

Thank you. I should have mentioned it is a gift for her birthday so buying new in box is what will be happening. Looks like anything from a store would be more than enough.

If you're willing to buy refurbished, Apple's refurbs are basically new and come with a 1-year warranty. I've bought from them many times with great turnout every time.
