I am using Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 on Windows 8.1.
When I try to log on to my mailbox i am getting this error, The Microsoft Exchange Server is down. Is there something I can do myself to repair Exchange server?

Any help you anyone can provide would be great

Are you trying to access the server from WAN or LAN?
What happens if you try using Outlook on the machine running the Exchange server and pointing to localhost?
