CPU won't acquire WU

Has been stuck on Ready since last night.

Set to -1 atm, but it won't aquire a WU, Says Downloading, ETA unknown, Credit Unknown.

I7 6700k.

Description says cpu:7. Is it trying to use 7 threads?

Yes 7 threads rarely work right, odd numbers of 7 or greater cause issues. Lock it to 6 threads or do two cpu's of 4 and 3 respectively.

pushed to 8 threads and it worked fine. i7 has 4 cores and 8threads.

It does but you may end up starving your GPU of resources and slowing that down by more than the cpu folding gives you. What gpu are you running?

Yes - if you are GPU folding on the same machine, it's best to have 1 core (not thread) free for each GPU.

Actually, one thread is enough but it still needs to be an even number. 8 threads total - 1 for the GPU = 7 threads but you need an even number so drop it down to 6 on the CPU. Works like a charm.
