But yeah, i had a decent 1080p monitor and moved up to 1440p ips... womt go down in res. Next pirchase will be 4k 100hz+ ips.
dont think its worth it. Best graphics card on market can't do 4k very well. Im getting 22 fps on xcom2 lol...

Were are probably a good 5+ years before good stable 4k

Depends on your settings...most games run well enough, 40-60+, without AA, at high/ultra with a 1080 or 1080ti. You dont really need any, or certainly as much AA as most use at lower resolutions. That monitor will last plenty long enough to get a single gpu WELL over 60 fps, and much closer to 100.

i need a new monitor. I bought this monitor when I bought a 390x few years ago, so its a free sync. I quickly replaced the 390 with a 1070..so can't even utilize the sync feature

I watch movies at 480p, 720p and 1080p not seeing a worth while difference. I will just wait till they up the graphics in game so they look just as good as Movies, so for now I will stick with 1080p and save a lot of money.

I would rather see this in gaming then 1440p+ monitor.
