First things first, :welcome: to ocf.:D

Now, I want to first Direct you to http://www.overclockers.com/forums/...Water-Cooling-Your-PC-***-READ-THIS-FIRST-***

This is an in depth guide with several pointers for building your first? loop. There is already a WEALTH of info on the subject, and a large chunk has been combined into this article/thread.

Rather than ask what brands to steer clear of, ask what we would recommend for a certain budget number. We won't direct you to junk. We will tell you what you will need, and try to make the process as easy as possible.

For further info, we need A LOT more info from you, but please read this article first to ensure water cooling is for you.

Use this. They currently have the BEST cpu cooler on the market( EK supremacy EVO). Pick your case, cpu, mobo, and video card, and it will recommend a setup.

you can modify the selections to get more cooling capability for overclocking better.

We recommend noty to use pastels in your loop, and to use primochill flex tubing for color instead. This makes maintenance much easier.

As for the rest, you need to provide a MAX budget you can handle(within reason to one person could be $40. to another, $900), as well as your pc specs that will be watercooled. This includes the case, cpu, mobo, ram, video card, ssd, like in my signature,

concerning mobo blocks and ram coolers, those are purely asthetic, and won't provide much, if ANY difference over the passive heat sinks/heat spreaders.

As for which radiators to use: EKWB has very high quality ones, but they generally are on the more expensive side of things. They are quality though, and the more rad space you have, the cooler and quieter the system will be.

If you have a case with tube passthroughs, you could opt for very large rads, like this one, but they are very expensive, but, VERY good.

But know that once you go with external rads, It is a pain to move your pc, because if you don't move both, you risk causing leaks from tugging on the tubes.

Biggest recommendation I can give is get a pump based off d5 . If i had it to do over I would get a pump /rez combo with a D5 .
My d5 is over 10 years old and still going strong .

Okay, thats plenty of budget for a wc loop.

1: do you want to just cool the cpu, or the cpu+GPU?

2: You havn't listed your mobo in your sig, That's pretty important info.

3: Going for optimal overclocking performance, or ultra silent?

Heres a setup I threw together.

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-coolstream-se-120-slim-single - Front mount

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-coolstream-xe-360-triple - top mount

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-xres-140-revo-d5-pwm-incl-sl-pump - D5 res/pump combo

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc1080-gtx - Copper base gtx 1080 ti block(substitute with color preference, try to keep it copper if possible, to enable the use of a silver kill coil.

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc1080-gtx-backplate-black - Black 1080 ti backplate

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/tube-prim...-lrttm-19-1-12-7-mm-pearl-uv-orange-retail-3m - Choose your own color, this is Perl UV orange. Keep these diameters.

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-acf-fitting-13-19mm-nickel - Nickel Compression fittings. Replace with material of your choice, but make sure they are 13-19 fittings, and that you have 10 of them. Wouldnt hurt to get 90 degree fittings for asthetics either.

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-cryofuel-clear-concentrate-100-ml - Clear, try to avoid colored liquids, as they are rather high maintenance, and can get expensive.

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-atx-bridging-plug-24-pin - PSU short plug to run your pump to get the air bubbles out of the system

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-cable-y-splitter-3-fan-pwm-10cm - Useful to have these around when running a WC setup.

As for fans, these are recommended by EKWB, However, the community can help you choose fans to fit your color tastes.

https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-vardar-f3-120-1850rpm - you need 4 of these, or 4 other fans.

Total cost:

$622

Then you have to get some distilled water, and you are good to go.

I have not actually built a water cooled system yet, but you really can't go wrong with this setup.
