I'm not running XP now and I can't remember if they even have it.
But anyway, the disk defrag etc is in disk management. go to control panel, computer management, storage, disk management and defrag etc is there.
Hope this helps, funny how quickly we forget, I only went back to win2k a few weeks ago.

Scan disk is located in the same place as with other Microsoft OS's. To get to it, all you have to do is right click on one of your partitions inside of my computer. Go to properties, and the the tools bar, and you should see it along with defrag and backup.

p.s. If you are using NTFS partitions, you will have to restart your computer so that scandisk can work before it actually boots to XP, because scandisk can't run on an NTFS partition while XP is actually running
