Bleach mod rises again! My computer mostly done with pics.

I finally got back into modding my comp. Do a search and you'll see some of my earlier progresses made with this case of mine. I still have some more work to do but at this point it's mostly done. Done enough to take some pictars of at least and use the thing. Here's what I got.

The front of the comp. Check out that fan!
A look at the acryllic side panel.
Another look at the clear side.
A close up of the etching.
The back side
The painted side panel.
Another look at that beautiful painting.

The inside of it.
Yah, it's messy. I had the wires managed a bit cleaner but I did some more wiring and I need to do the lights still so I'm not worried about that just yet.

A close of of the motherboard above the vid card.
Yes, the mobo is painted too and it works!

Another look at the mobo below the vid card.
Check out all those raptors!

Well, I still have PLENTY of work before I call it finished. Not to mention some touch up on the paint in spots. Grrr. I need to redo the top panel of the computer and I'm going to paint that too. I also need to ATTACH the 7" LCD I have to the front of the computer case door. I already have it figured out, just need to do it. I need to add a few lights, and other things.

However, I just got some new toys and going to be switching stuff out. DFI nf4 Ultra-D mobo, Opteron 146, and a x850xtpe card are going to replace what I have in there. Mainly because of the memory I have in the pictures and in there right now. 2GB kit that doesn't play well with my s754 mobile DTR chip. Grr. So I'll be painting THAT mobo too.

I'll post more stuff as I do it, which may or may not be for awhile. Depends on when I get around to the mods again. Till then, enjoy these pics if you can.

First, I taped anything that I didn't want painted, such as cnnections, the heatsink on the chipset, and inductors.

Then I used Rustoleum Clear Coat Enamel first to "seal" the mobo. This was just incase the paint I used on top was conductive.

Then I used Rustoleum Metallic Blue paint, just like with what I used for the rest of the case.

Used more Rustoleum Clear Coat Enamel again.

I then untaped it all and used water based acryllics for the now "silver" and "black" pieces shown on the mobo. These are the slots and capacitors I used for "highlights."

Every time I see that painting on the side, I get a little envious. Paint and I do not get along when I try to do anything like that. wow

Cool this is a dual purpose mod...It will make the mobo more resistant to water and look good. I doubt I will do as good a job as you(If I ever get around to doing it)

Thanks for the info.

Very nice etching job! What tool do you use for it? A Dremel etcher model or just an attachment to your dremel that you can use?

I agree, plus I love bleach

That is a really cool effect with the paint/texture. I also noticed Rukia has a hole in her forehead hehe.

That "hole" is the screw hole in the side of the hdd. :P
Just making sure you didn't think he had a random hole in the window.

Great mod by the way! All those aluminum? fans nice and shiney.
The painting is something that looks like a professional cartoonist drew.
NICE.

I think this shall be one of the few threads I shall watch while being idle now... I just love the painting on the side panel.

Not to mention the anime now is hitting a pretty damn high point... Maybe I'll base my case around this point in time.

The etching is very nice, although I couldn't tell what it was at first because the wires continually threw me off. I think it would look even better if you were able to frost ( or something ) the area where the etching is. Either way, the entire thing looks fantastic.

The mobo paint is a really cool concept, I just don't know if I like it all that much. I kinda like the raw look of an unpainted mobo. Really cool innovation though. Props.

That's the delima. Do I do so thorough a job "hiding" everything in the case that you don't see the computer, hence why have a see through side panel in the first place. I want people to look inside and see some stuff. Now, admittedly, it looks much better in the dark with the internal lights on. It really shows off that etching by putting it in stark contrast to the inside. Also, the etching is much more visible in real life then in the picture.

I was about to work on this some more, like redoing the top panel, but I've since been side track with job hunting again =/ So I can't spend time or money on this computer until I get some income.
