~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Again, Thanks for taking the time to allow me to interview you.
When did you join the Team? Approximate date is ok if you don't know the specific date.
Hmm... According to EOC, 03.16.06 . Im a pretty new folder, so im just starting to make a dent.
If there was something recent that you did that you wanted your fellow teammembers to know about, what would it be?
Well, I went to look at NYU on saturday, then ate dinner in Little Italy, and then won my football game on Sunday (rained out from friday)
What is your EOC (extremeoverclockers) stats link?
EOC
You do not have to give specifics (address), but what State do you live in, and if you don't mind telling, what town? (town is not required, but if not a town, a general direction and distance from the nearest 'big town/city' would suffice)
I Live in Barnegat, New Jersey. 80 miles south of NYC, 30 miles north of Atlantic City, about 4 Miles inland of the Atlantic Ocean.
How did you initially hear about F@H?
Browsing these forums Back when i had my lowly HP 2.93ghz celery that i bought for 299 from Tiger Direct, and no expierence in overclocking. Im still a noob
After starting, why do you continue to Fold?
To hopefully make a difference in someones life in the future. And to give my nice new expensive hardware something to do when its not doing anything. Dont wanna let all that money go to waste now do we?
What do you do for a living?
Well, i try to make my living off of sleeping. When im not sleeping, its school, then football, then sleep. And on sunday mornings, i work at a laundromat
What do you do for fun?
Fun? Whats fun? I like to play football, watch football, go out with friends to movies and dinner, play the occasional video game, tinker with stuff, set off fireworks and try to make my own fireworks, etc.
Is there anything special you do in your spare time that you really enjoy?
Mmm... Sleeping. Eating sounds good to
Time to spill your guts. What are the stats of your main folding rig? Why is it your fave? What all do you use the rig for?
4800X2, A8N32-SLI Deluxe, 2gig OCZ Platnium, 7900GTX's in SLI, 4 raptor 36gig drives in Raid 0+1, Watercooled with a D5, TDX, 2 Maze4's, BIP 120.3. Its my fav. cause its my first and only good rig, lol. It does everything. Surf, aim, email, video editing, music jukebox, web design, server, you name it it does it.
Do you have a Borg-Farm? If so, how many computers, and what are they? (CPU, RAM)
It consists of, right now, a Sempron 3000+, my 4800X2, and a Xeon 3ghz i think. Im trying to get my Celery 2.93 up and running (when i have time), i migt add another xeon 3ghz if i can get permission, im thinking of boring my grandmas 4200X2, and if i can get a mobo/ram ill throw in my old A64 4000+. I just dont have time to do everything right now with school/football
What are your future goals? What do you most want to accomplish with your life?
I want to have a job that i like, and that i want to do. I want to be successfull in everything and anything i do
If there is something you want to tell the team, then spill your guts! What have I missed in my questions that could help the team learn more about you and who you are?
Well, i am only 16 years old and have been in the hobby of overclockign for less than a year, and im pretty sure this classifies me as a noob. But, while being a "noob", i try to make intelligent posts only about my opinions or things i know something about, and i am constantly teaching myself and learning new things every day. It will be a long long time, if ever, that i know as much about this stuff like Landshark and all of the other Senior members, mods, and the like. They all have my 100% respect and thanks.
Well, some say i look like Snorlax.
My current working space and mess of a half put together computer. There is no way i can get that hard drive cage inside, with my 7800gt's, and wired up. I have spent hours and hours and have gone through plenty of broken cables lol. I need a lesson in wire management as well.
Im honored to have gotten a spotlight, thanks Gary and all the other T32 folders out there!
*rushes around to find more PC's to borg so i can get my points and rank up!*
Glad to meet ya. Good luck getting everything back up.
But get it all running well before youre in college... Its a hell of a lot harder to do stuff with the farm when youre out of town.
Actualy your farm reminds me a lot of my farm back when i was in high school..... Except you run rigs a good bit faster than mine... and you run mostly AMD where as i am mostly intel.
Grandma's got an X2? Man... my grandmother barely knows how to use the TV. I love the messy comp btw, it gives the room that "tinkery" feel. Nice to meet you
Hey ... great to meet you Hitby
I wish i had been able to start folding when i was your age ... but i think computers were just recently moving from vacuum tubes to transistors then and punched cards were still high tech
That a sweet setup on your main rig ... and nicely ghetto as is my taste
And glad to see another farmer starting up
Keep up the great folding work ... and school ... and football. Hard work and positive outlook never hurt anybody in achieving their goals!
Great to meet ya!
And it seems you're keeping OCF tradition with that messy room of yours
(Ever notice in the classies when people take pics of stuff there is a huge mess!)
Well, as of now i only have my 4800x2, my 3000sempy, and a 2.4ghz p4 folding. The celery machine isnt folding since its being used as a capture machine for survealiance cameras and as a email server. My grandmas 4200X2 (i built the machine for her) as of now isnt folding. Shes having problems with it and i dont want to install it untill the problems are fixed. And i traded my 4000+ A64 for a 4600X2, as well as my 7800GT's for 7900GTX OC'ed edition. So, i still need a mobo/ram for my 4600. It would make a great SMP folder under ubuntu. I need money. I also need accesss to the classies! I cant get a ISP email from comcast for some reason. It just wont work. And they wont take my personal web server email. As for the nice rig, im hoping that after christmas its going to be nice and neat With a new case!
Fold On! And thanks guys
