You forgot some s3, sis, and xgi cards but then again no one really cares about those. Also 3dlab and Matox both still have some workstation cards around.

Their hardware for the most part is up to par with their low-end to mid-range contenders from ATI and Nvidia, however their drivers have a long way to go for gaming which really hurts them from having any chance. I was thinking of including Matrox as well and several other exotic GPUs that can be used for gaming but decided against it... Mind you I am still running a Voodoo 2 in one of my other computers perfectly ![]()

Darn it you post to fast for me to edit in all of the stuff that I usually do... I barely beat my final edit one min before your reply. Also I have never had a S3 card but what you said about them is up to par with that I usually hear about them. edit: Quote:

If you want to learn more about the S3 series, here is the best review I have come across yet of them: http://xbitlabs.com/articles/video/d...hrome-s27.html

Nice work... Sticky anyone? Also, do you know about www.techpowerup.com GPU database? Worth a look IMO. Lists pretty much every core on the market since the 8500 with frequencies and memory interfaces.

Re-organized it into a more legible form and added the GF8 8500 and 8600 GS. Looking at different stores for the mobile GPUs they sell.

If you are going to include cards like the rage or tnt then you might as well include the 3DFX cards.

Updated with X1950 GT: The cards will be based on a modified version of the 80nm RV570 core used in the existing Radeon X1950 Pro, and they'll be clocked at 500MHz core with a memory speed of 600MHz. For reference, the Radeon X1950 Pro has a 575MHz core speed and a 690MHz memory speed. The Radeon X1950 GT will supposedly launch at $169, a good 30 bucks cheaper than the Radeon X1950 Pro's launch price. Considering GeForce 7900 GS graphics cards can now be had for less than $160 at some online stores, the X1950 GT could give ATI a better competitor in the sub-$200 segment. Moreover, the upcoming launch of 8800GTS 320MB edition priced between US$299-$349 in mid Feb is sending GeForce 7950 series prices down as manufacturers and distributors are clearing stock ahead of the onslaught of the affordable 8800 cards.

You know mods it would be a lot easier if you can make this a sticky, it's a pain to search for this thread sometimes when I have to update it.
