[OC]foldingninjas?

Are you all still around or are you folding for other people/yourselves? Blast from the past, huh?

I'm not sure there is much of an active sub-team Folding under that ID but I do know that David, our excellent mod, has recently picked up under that ID again.

I don't think he was part of the original team, though. I was wondering if any of the original members were still active folders. It is cool that he picked up the name to fold, though. Pretty good memories.

OC3d is slowly picking up some of its old CPU's and some new ones. Just added 2x 1.866 conroe on smp client, a P4 3.2, and a celeron something-or-other. Rebuilt my gaming box a bit and will plop the old athlon xp @1.8 back up part time, and start to gpu fold once stanford says ok for r600's. HDD on order for my old ECS 929 desknote, an athlon xp @1.57, which can go fulltime once it gets an OS. Got a spare box at home in the closet, another athlon xp @ 1.53. Need a Athlon MP duallie motherboard to get my dual athlon mps @2.1 back up. Have plans to reborg some friends' machines in the next few months as well.

Been in a slump for quite awhile, but the potential is there for 8-12 cpu's.

Additionally, I've been asked to make a new Overclockix. People don't leave it running long enough or alter the client.cfg so I rarely see a lot points from new releases, but it does sometimes give me a bit of a boost.

Just fixed sig updater today.

Oh man, I've not had any time or energy to work on the new clients. I'm going to have someone give me the walk around to work this new stuff. I've been so darn busy but I want to start folding for the old team again, especially if we could have a teary eyed reunion.

Yeah, there was some odd drama but now that those people are gone, I decided to come back and see if we could get the old team resurrected.

There was that modena dude, scoobiedo, oni, jigpu, some person who was banned that I can't mention, and the other shirt ninjas. That's from what I remember. LOL We had a lot of people fold under us too even though they didn't make themselves known, which made them a little more ninja.

Oh man, I still remember the yatta machines... what are they all upgraded now?

they just couldn't hang anymore.

You must be not speaking of (
I don't know what happened, but he is missed (a little).

Oni just moved, I don't know how much line speed he has anymore.

WHHHHAATTTTT??? Oh nooooo! I thought that was so hilarious with the Yatta farms cropping up here and there. They will always hold a special place in my heart.

Well, if anyone wants to join in, they're definitely free to join. I see a whole bunch of new faces here that I don't know! I doubt any of our old threads are still in existence either!

I was, in fact, one of the founders IIRC. Myself, seal, cjwinnit if I remember right.

Welcome back Arkaine I could try and stir up the Benchmarking team to see if they can bring some new powah to the fold?

Yatta used to be the sub-500MHz machines. Far too slow nowadays

We could always resurrect Yatta again for, say, sub 1.5GHz machines or pre-64bit machines?

Let's see, we desperately need to upgrade our desktop (haven't had time, you see) but we're tossing in the one in xero's profile and we have the PS3 going. We'll see what kind of power we can get soon and I think we have a spare rig just sitting there that we could try to resurrect. Hell, if the baby's laptop had internet access, we'd add it on too.

YAY I AM SO EXCITED!

Well, I have a single core Prescott @ 3.6 Ghz but I'm not entirely sure how to set it up for hyperthreading.

I've been a very busy bunny but I have a bit more time on my hands now.
