Guess it's time for a trip to the store for nanners.

Last year we left a huge trail of peels and poo that MPC had to lean up
This year it's [H]'s turn to shovel!

We're perfectly content tossing the poo around at MPC. We still can't get the smell of Vegemite and kangaroo sweat out of our carpet.

Right you pathetic whining babies..... LOOK OUT!!

The Team OCAU Dropbears are in... folding under 'Monkey_B o l l o c k s' Muhahahah and it trips your swear filter. What a joke!!

You will see from our team output in the last couple of days that the sleeping giant has awoken and is hungry for a meal of Jade.

We actually have got a sniff of half a chance and that is all we need to bite down on that meaty morsel like a rabid dog. People from our masses are going to start folding - just for this challenge in order to restore the good name of OCAU - and p_i_s_s you guys right off.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Well, that's nice and all, but we have the lowest output of any of the teams, and have nothing to lose. We have no dignity. We are only here to kick Arse.

Beware the underdog... he bites testicles.

Can you have someone go ahead and fold a WU under that username so it can get an EOC stats link?

Are you familiar with the folding client at all? If so you just use the username T32monkeys and team number is 32. If not, for duals and quads use the SMP client. They make it for linux and windows, but the linux one is more points per day. But you can run linux in VMWare under windows (I posted the link to that in the benching lounge) but if you don't feel like going through all that the windows client will work just fine. You'll need .net (2.0 I believe) to run the windows version. For single core there is a standard folding client as well at stanford's download page. You can also fold on ATI GPU's

Folding client downloads are at http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Download

Brolloks, if you can tell us what the system(s) cpu and memory are, and how much they're on each day, on average, we can give some excellent advice and detailed instructions for whatever type you choose.

The download page sno linked to, above, also has download instructions, right next to each type of FAH client.

In a nutshell, the SMP client works FANTASTIC on strong dual core or quad core systems that are left running 15 hours a day or so. Ten times the pointage of the regular uni-processor FAH program client. Points in the 1,000 to 3,700 per day, are common.

The GPU client is a new version, and I am unsure how well it works. Last version was rather unreliable, unfortunately. Also, it's obvious many graphics cards were not up to the task of folding for hours on end - they died quite prematurely. I can't yet recommend this client.

The uni-processor FAH program (5.04) Console, is rock solid, but limiting on pointage. One I'm folding right now will bring me 1600 points per day. Normally, this same rig gets me 1750 points per day, folding with the SMP client. Other WU's have lowered that PointsPerDay( ppd ), to as low as 350, with this 5.04 uni-processor client.

A lot of the points depends on the type of WU that Stanford is giving out, at that time.

As far as Stanford is concerned, they need SMP WU's done by the barrel full, so they can study the accuracy and efficiency of this new folding client, when compared to other folding clients they use.

It's not all about the points, although we sound like that as Cinco de Mayo looms ever closer.

Hey guys,

I looked at the download page and I must be a little slow.

Want to make sure I'm useing the right one.

I'll be using my QX9650, DDR2 1066 on Vista 64.
Which SMP client should I be using ?

I want to do some test folding now, so I can work out the bugs.
For the competition I'll run the above chip @ 4Ghz 24/7

I think the smp client on all except the p4, use the normal one (5.04) on that

Mine are on the 5.91 on this page http://folding.stanford.edu/English/DownloadWinOther

I haven't been keeping up as much as I should be so I don't know what the 5.92 does
