So I just finished putting together my computer, checked every connection, and I soon as I go to power it up the first time it turns on for a split second then turns off. Then it will continue to do this until I turn off the power supply. I tried googling the problem and it said to remove all peripherals, which I did. After doing that and trying to turn it on, it turns on for a split second again and make a loud screeching sound, then turns off. Again, it repeats this until I turn off the power supply. Parts are in sig... I have no clue what to do ![]()

Could you test the PSU by itself? Using a wire or paperclip to short the green wire on ATX connector with any black one and see if the PSU turns on as normal. Here is what I mean, but a bit clearer: http://www.overclock.net/faqs/96712-...upply-psu.html

Try pulling everything out of the case and connect everything to determine if there is some electrical short in the case.
