a series of questions

I want to add another fan to my Dark Knight-S1283V for push/pull. is the only way to attach one with zip ties? I cannot find the fan used on this thing anywhere, it moves 89.45 CFM of air so I don't want to attach another fan that moves less/more. Where can I find this fan, or do I just need to replace both of the fans on the cooler? If I do that I can put the fan that's already there on the side panel of my Antec 900, which I really need to do anyway. I was planning on attaching the fan pulling air on the bottom facing the ground and the one pushing towards my 200mm exhaust, also I was going to put the side panel fan for intake so it can be blowing on my gpu and into the intake for the heatsink. How would this be for airflow?

You want the push fan to push into the fins and the pull fan pulling the air from the fins, the pull fan facing towards an exhaust. The back fan or top fan of the 900, doesn't matter which way you point your CPU heatsink exhaust since you have the 900.

Zip ties work, you can see if anyone else has done it differently by google and forum mining.

As long as you pull fan moves the same or more air than the push fan you'll be okay. Just do some research since advertised fan specs can be deceiving. The other option you might consider is adding a fan speed controller. That way if you get two fans of exactly the same model and design you can manipulate their speeds to get them in sync.

Getting them in sync isn't a big deal though. It can make minor differences but not something most worry about.

I don't think the fans that come stock with the 900 are compatible with any fan controller. I wouldn't be opposed to installing all new fans though, my current setup isn't my taste anyway. I don't have a 3pin Y cable though, and don't really know what the best way to go about doing that is without having a mess of wires.

Yea, you'd have to cut the fan wires and put the small 3 pin on. You can buy the pins and plugs etc at many online stores. On my 900 case I had a few years ago I replaced the fans with Yate Loons except the top one, I left it as is. The yates had molex and 3 pin, I cut the Molex off.
