I have been looking for one of these for a long time. I had tried the windows based gadget things but I had to run about three of them to do what this one does. Great little addition to my desktop.

so it will actually let me know when there are updates available? how often does it check? every startup?

Great work, thanks to The Coolest, the New Core Temp Gadget ver 2.4 Released 11th August 2010 has even more features
