Zyxel G-4100v2 | console settings | pyramid linux

Hello,

We have more that 200 routers in our company.
G-4100v2. I would like to connect to this device via console.

1. which cable should we use, it is a standart NULL-modem cable, with statndart pinout?
2. If not which cabel should we use?
3. What is the console port settings (baud rate and so one)?

I've tried several combinations, but none workded.
Please advice, our problems with Zyxels started to be critical.

Do you have any another idea how can I put the Pyramid linux in?

Thanks,

According to the manual, that RS-232 port is not used for configuration. Page 230 and 234 of the manual.

Quote:
RS-232 port (For debugging and testing purpose only)
CONSOLE Port: The ZyXEL Device does not currently use this port.

Hello,

Yes I recently have received message from zyxel support:

Dear Floorripper,
Thank you for your inquiry.
G4100 cannot be accessed via the console port as it is not for troubleshooting access.
But it is for connecting with the old version of printer SP-100.

Best regards,

XYZ..

ZYXEL COMMUNICATIONS CORP.

I think that a such a waste of space. Why did they wrote on the box "console".
The question is now, to get inside a Linux.
He also replied:

You could reboot the device from GUI via the Ethernet cable.
However, no command line for G4100/G4100v2.

That's all what I have.
