Help me decide on a new CPU for my GTX 680SC

I have a Phenom II x4 970, a GTX 680SC, and a ASUS m4A87TD motherboard.

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU because i'm getting bottlenecked like a mofo

which CPU should I get?

AMD FX-8150
I5-2500k

Those are the two i'm looking at right now.

I'm open to all suggestions.

EDIT: completely forgot that I would have to replace my MB. I'm just going to try and overclock my CPU in the meantime untill I get the extra money to upgrade both of them.

how do you know your getting bottlenecked? just curious.

I don't think you're getting bottlenecked by that CPU. It's still going strong.

Anyway, if you decide to drop that AM3+ platform and get a new one, go for Intel Z77.
