mem_led glows red - any solutions?

Hey guys, I'm back with new problems.

This time, there's a problem with a new motherboard and new RAMs.
The thing about it is that the computer does not boot, and the mem_led constantly glows red, which indicates a RAM problem (am I right?).
What I can't sappenieem to figure out is why this is happening, and therefore I turn here, since you guys have been a lot of help other times.

So, the motherboard is a NEW Asus P9X79 PRO (socket 2011), when we try to boot it, there's no video output, and the mem_led glows.
Also, by the small display down to the left which shows any problems it says "AF", this, according to the manual, means "Exit boot services events", what this means I don't know, and Google haven't been giving me any "useful" information, so far as I can find.

We have tried to use only one RAM in a slot (tried different modules) and this does not give any other codes or such. All cables is connected as they should, and the rest of the computer starts (fans running etc).

Do you have any solutions or tips that we can try to identify the problem?

Thanks in advance

/Quazer

sounds like you need to update the bios or the ram is incompatible the x79 boards are touchy when it comes to ram, check in your manual for the motherboard were you need to place the single stick to get yourself booted you cant just stick it in any slot on the quad ram slots,if you have a x79 asus board you can flash the bios with no ram/cpu installed just needs power, you put your bios unzips on a flash drive formatted fat32 and insert it in the usb port next to the bios flash button on the back of your board.then hold the bios flash button til it starts to flash then wait for it to stop flashing(about two min) if your using another brand board i dont know what to tell you other then to look up there qualified vendors list for ram and get some that is compatible=(

Try pressing the Go! button. (What used to be the MemOK!)

That should make those modules boot. Nowhere near factory settings, but, well, it's something. Then you can fine tweak them.

Its still the (MemOK) on Asus AMD MOBO's, <- just for random info

Yes try that, your supposed to clear CMOS on new MOBO's, and before installing new RAM module, so actually try that first, if not then hit that button near the DIMM's, failing that put your old module back in and update the BIOS.

Failing that, i would say you have incompatible moduals, your stuffed.

na im sure its his bios.if they are still the factory shipped and if he got the 3820 cpu then it does not support it. 99% of the people who have had problems lately with x79 motherboards was due to that cpu just coming out and stores having back stock of boards that came out before the cpu did.im sure a bios update will fix him=)
