Can't Handle BF3?

So I just got BF3 because it was half off today and I was playing online and I couldn't make it run smooth at all unless all the graphics were turned down to the lowest setting. My ping was 32. Now I know I don't have all the best components in the world but shouldn't I be able to run it perfectly fine at least higher than all low settings with what I have?

Could be an SLI issue. Other than that, I would imagine it would run quite smoothly on your system. I would look up known issues with sli 470s.

Where did you buy it for half off? and yea other then that the only reason i would say is that you don't have enough vram but unless your playing on 2+ monitors it shouldn't really matter

BF3 has SLI/Xfire issues.
I had a X58A-UD3R
i7-930
gtx 470 1.2gig PNY
And ran the game on high but I had the HMBO off or what ever it's called and FSAA at like 2x.

okay I guess I'll try that... That sucks :/ I wish games would come out with better support for SLI and x-fire set-ups

Its just that it cost more to code with it and the # of people that have those extreme setups is little to none compared to everyone else so its better for them to just not support it if that makes any sense

Ya guys it runs sooo much better with 1 card rather than sli... how can I tell if a game is compatible with sli or not?

Google it you would just Google known issues of a a game. when you play a game and it starts to act up then you just Google known issues.

there's nothing wrong with a dual GPU set up, it's just that some games don't like it...
