USB pin connectors

My mother board have 3x usb connectors

USB 7, USB 89 AND USB 1011

What is a difference between them?

USB 7 have 7 pins (10-3) and rest have 9 (10-1)

That is what you use a motherboard manual for. Don't know what motherboard you have so hard to say what the board maker had in mind.

It is imperative that the specific USB pin out assignment for your motherboard make and model is obtained from the maker before any attempt is made to connect the cable to the motherboard.

My mobo is crosshair iv formula and I have checked manual before asking this question. Couldn't find an answer.

I had not seen Asus leave that information out a manual and they did not.
