Dell Latitude D410

Hey gents,

I inherited this solid little gem and have Lubuntu 12.04 running solid on it. However, it appears the battery in it is a counterfeit from China. No manu stickers, no S/N, and claims it's 7800mAh which is impossible.

Anyway, since its such a nice laptop I'd like to get the battery replaced. However, as I'm sure most of you know, 99% of all stuff electronic sold on eBay is more than likely counterfeit when it comes to batteries, chargers, flash memory, ETC...

I really need some help finding a genuine/authentic battery for this laptop...any suggestions?

Try Amazon?
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_sc...f73d5c0c985a33

The one listed as genuine would be the most expensive one.

Hmm I'll check Amazon and Buy then...maybe less chance of counterfeits.

Both of the companies put their reputation behind the products they allow resellers to offer throught their marketplace, so if there is an issue you could end up dealing with Amazon or Buy.com . I had to return something to a reseller that wasn't the right part and used Amazon's online return page without hassle.

Oh really? I always only ever order products direct from Amazon and not through Resellers...that's good to know.

Thanks!
