As you see on the MemTweakIt screenshots , sub timings are rather tight. I think it's more because of single sided modules. Ballistix Sport XT which is in the same comparison is based on about the same IC but double sided modules ( 2x8GB ) and performance is much higher.
Yesterday I was testing RipjawsX 2x8GB 1866 that seem to be on similar IC and performance is slightly better than the Crucial Ballistix.
What is funny , all these 3 kits are booting at max 2600 11-13-12 1.65V but none of them can pass HyperPi 32M or any other longer test at more than 2200 and max stable settings were 2133 10-11-11-30 CR 1 or 2.
