Yesterday the 555 was launched in Japan, I picked one up, it's a 1003EPMW.
After the first impressions I am quite pleased with the result, even if I compare it to my 550s which both unlocked successfully to quads.
It booted with the 550BEs settings without problem, I nudged the NB one multi to 2.8G was no problem for it neither was 4G.
550 BE 1.3V stock and that's enough for stable 3.5G max NB was 2.6G
555 BE 1.35V stock that will do 3.8G from there on it scales badly but 4G stable in linpack which wasn't even bootable on the 550 regardless of V. 3G on the NB seems impossible.
Temps do not seem to be worse than the 550, even at 4G a CU ninja with a 800RPM slipstream was enough for cooling, which was another pleasant surprise.
I will test how it fares when it's undervolted.
