X1800XL Hmmm?

Well, I've had the X1800XL in for about a day or so, but when I play videos, they come out.. well, bad? Only in a few colours.. mainly pink, green, red, etc...

Sounds like no drivers, are you sure you have Ati display drivers installed? Use the disk that came with the card to install the drivers\CCC.

yeah sounds like you are running in 16bit mode

I definately installed the disk that came with it.. Since I have the catalyst control centre etc.. Are there any settings which could effect things like this?

Okay guys, found out that also games are running at around 40-50fps on very low!! This is with an x2 3800+, 2gb corsair twinx pro and the x1800xl, on very low it should be atleast 100... Also got around 5,000 in 3dmark05! Surely it should be closer to 10,000??

don't expect 10k in 3dm05 on stock clocks, more around 7k, your mobo drivers seem to be the problem, reinstall your mobo and video drivers, also installing the AMD driver wouldn't hurt

right click on the desktop and go to properties>display settings and see what resolution\bit your at......

1280 x 1024
and
32 bit..

1280 x 1024 was reccommended for my monitor.
