RemoteFx is a service abailable for Windows Server 2008 and windows server 2012. It allows for GPU acceleration as well as OpenGL to function over a remote connection. As some of you may know I have been looking for a way to do this for ages and with the Windows 2012 server available for testing I can try it out and see how well it works for gaming and video. Honestly the remote desktop that comes on windows 7 is the best I have seen so far in terms of quality and lag, and if this server edition is able to visualize a GPU like it says I would be very impressed. But of course that means my main rig would have to run the 2012 server, what downsides would this have vs regular windows? Would I even be able to use it as a regular computer still? Has anyone tried using remotefx before, what was you experience with it?

I would test this myself but the thing refuses to download for me >.< I have tried 3 times and after it gets to 3.00/3.37GB and gives up. Not to mention I have to keep restarting the download every percent it goes up just to make it keep going, very frustrating. -.-
