A user frok the xtreme systems forums have a photo of what seems to be a AMD Athlon64 X2 3800+ with Manchester core which the guy actually bought recently. This'll be first budget version of the dual core family.

The chip is clocked a 2 GHz with a multiplier of 10 and it has two timesd 512 KB L2 caches. The expected price for this 'budget' chip will be arround 350-400 USD.

Good news for everyone that is planning to go DC and doesn't want to spend arm and a leg. I just hope that we se budget Toledos :-/

Probably at the same ratio as the higher end models. Speed binning FTW?
that would be great if they do. I suspect they will not overclock well at all though. I've narowed my choices down to this or a 3700 san diego. san diego will faster in games, but the x2 will be faster in a multitasking enviroment. Decisions...decisions... :D

I just hope that we see Toledo Values, otherwise I won't be getting one.

Same here, where's my dang dual 1MB 2GHz 4000+? If that don't come out soon I'll just have to wait for the 4400+ to come down in price, but I can't wait that long.
