What Should i get then?

Ok heres the deal, hope you can help.

I have four PC`s all on xp.What wired router should i get?
I have nic`s in all Pc`s but what cable do i need to go to the router crossover or patch? The only networking experience ive had is 2 Pc`s by crossover so i would be interested in a router with Auto setup if there is such a router.All i need this setup to do is share the ASDL line, ive read the excellent guides on here so maybe i can do this.

Don't buy a wired router. Waste of money. Get a wireless one, disable the wireless.

Ok i did not realise you could do that thanks.

So will disabling the wireless part be possible with all routers?If so which brand for easy setup should i go for?

No. I have one that does not have an easy way to disable. By this I mean on/off GUI.

In my case the wireless has been nothing but trouble. Need to reset the unit far too often.

agreed with klingens, buy a wireless and disable.

I've had great luck with wrt54g, tons of people here use this model
