Buy 300 tablets, get them for $20.04 each...

There is simply no way, that this is legitimate.
Okay, we can't conduct a group buy on the site but why not continue discussion on legitimacy of product. Surely there are people in the world that can pay this out alone.

Why not? AliExpress theoretically gives a full refund if it isn't, either...

You cannot build and package, let alone sell an ASUS prime for 43$, Nvidia tegra chip alone runs for ~25$.

What sort of direct or indirect experience, do you have on cashing in that refund guarantee ? Theoretically, is not the same as in practice.

The seller has no feedback, best case scenario you wait 15-60 days for your stuff to arrive and receive a usb cable in the mail, then aliexpress refunds you, after a dispute that takes some more time, so you would have your money tied up for a while.

Okay.
You think the most you'd get would be a USB cable? I would at least think they'd send a functional POS no-name tablet.

Maybe they are paper tablets :bday:

i dont think these are legit at all. the cost to make them exceeds the price youre paying for them and asus would rather have companies send them back for dismantle or resale than for them to be sold that low.

First of all, the website and company itself is legit. From Wikipedia article on Alibaba.com:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alibaba.com

In addition, Alibaba.com offers a transaction-based wholesale platform, AliExpress (www.aliexpress.com), which serves smaller buyers seeking fast shipment of small quantities of goods. Only Chinese can sell in Aliexpress, not from other countries. Launched in April 2010, AliExpress provides an escrow service and supports payments through Visa, MasterCard or bank transfer. Formerly customers could also use PayPal, but PayPal terminated its partnership with the platform in 2011

Alibaba.com is one of the biggest e-commerce companies in China. This seller is basically like a merchant on Amazon or eBay.

Why did Paypal end the partnership? They wanted more fees (shocking!) http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/06/03/us-paypal-china-idUSTRE75225520110603 Also, eBay would rather expand into China than support a competitor.

Now, as for the deal in particular...yeah it seems too good to be true. Maybe refurb, stolen goods, or gang money laundering. If you have $4000 sitting around though, go for it! At least if you go through a credit card you can dispute the charges.
